IXgen 7 is compatible with FrameMaker 8!
Run IXgen 7 with FrameMaker 8 just like you always have. In fact, when upgrading to FrameMaker 8, your current IXgen 7 password that you used with FrameMaker 7.x will continue to work (assuming that no other major changes have been made to your system).
If you need your password resent, let us know and we'll be happy to do that.
Please note that if you are running IXgen 5.5, you will need to upgrade IXgen when moving to FrameMaker 8.
IXgen 7.2 is now available for FrameMaker 5.5x & 6
We know that many of you have stayed with FrameMaker 5.5 or 6. We weren't sure we'd be able to offer IXgen 7 for anything other than FrameMaker 7, but we've done some work and now you can use IXgen 7 in FrameMaker 5.5x, 6, and 7! Get all the cool new features in IXgen 7 and still work in any current FrameMaker environment.
Enhanced IXgen 7 Release
The latest point release of IXgen, 7.2, now includes some nifty new features:
Apply new formatting to marker text on the fly using character tags. During the apply operation (when IXgen writes markers back to the source files), formatting is automatically converted to the embedded font commands expected by FrameMaker.
These are exciting new additions to IXgen! This upgrade is free to all current IXgen 7 owners. The new features are now a standard part of the IXgen 7 distribution.
Product Performance Warranty Extended
The duration of our unique product performance warranty has been expanded. With IXgen you now get five years of support. There are no gimmicks; we can offer this because of IXgen's stellar track record over the past decade.
The five years applies to your current version of IXgen. Most point releases are free to all customers. When you purchase a major IXgen upgrade, a new warranty period starts on the new version you bought, while the warranty on the old version remains in effect for the remainder of its term. For most people this means a warranty/free support program for as long as they use IXgen.
Fighting Spam
Recent, huge increases in spam volumes throughout the internet have caused a number of problems. Side effects of popular countermeasures include legitimate email not getting out of your facility to some addresses, or our email (product passwords and other correspondence) not getting back to you. While a small percentage of legitimate email is affected in this manner, since the beginning of 2003 we are seeing more of these problems.
If you can't reach us, or if expected email from us is overdue, please feel free to call or fax. You won't be bothering us. We know most of our customers are on tight schedules. We've done everything possible to get fast, fast replies to your requests, and we want to keep this policy in place, even if from time to time we need to go outside normal email channels.
By the way, you'll never see spam from us! We only do one time mailings to announce new product versions. We never share our customer information with others.
